This is a Traceable Leather Bag
There are no mysteries when there is a connection between the farmer and the designer…
The leather that makes up this Moss Gather Crossbody came from a cow that was raised at Stone Barn Center, a regenerative farm in the state of New York.
The cow was respectfully raised and butchered for meat. And the skin, which would otherwise be considered waste, got sent Upstate to Pergamena for tanning, coordinated through 5th Business.
(Pictured above is Liv from Pergamena visiting Stone Barn Center.)
The skin was made into Vegetable Tanned Leather and shipped to Harkin in Cleveland, Ohio to be crafted into a bag. All leather cuttings too small to be made into something else got composted.
This bag was designed to be made how good quality products used to be made—close to home, with honor at every step.
